This is a blog about the landscape and other things of Banks Peninsula in the South Island of NZ..from Birdlings Flat to Akaroa Harbour.....HOROMAKA is one of the Maori names for Banks Peninsula...it was europeanly named by captain Cook as banks Island..but it wasnt an Island..the photos are a personal account by Ian Robertson CLICK on photos to enlarge ..
